The Solid Aluminum Hub was design as a 1-piece hub to replace the existing hub design of the original PDL II Quad Antenna. The hub is designed using a solid CNC machined 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum block. The old PDL II Antenna used cast aluminum – which was much more fragile, with high frequency of being destroyed during installation or earth elements causing cracks and corrosion. The old hub previously required 2 parts to the hub, while the new solid hub design is a 1 piece CNC machined design.
